Internships, Fellowships, Residency & Clinical Experiences
Accredited Occupational Therapy Clinical Placements Our Occupational Therapy Services are independently accredited by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Clinical placements from a wide variety of post-secondary education institutions across Canada are accepted in our adult tertiary psychiatry, neuropsychiatry and geriatric psychiatry program areas. All clinical placements are coordinated through the University of British Columbia’s School of Rehabilitation Sciences. For more details, please e-mail Corinna Oneill.
Accredited Psychology Internships
BC Mental Health & Addiction Services offers one-year psychology internships intended to prepare students for professional practice with adult patients in various specialized areas. Accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), our program involves supervised clinical experience at Riverview Hospital and at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in our adult tertiary psychiatry, geriatric/neuropsychiary and forensic psychiatry programs. Each fall, three interns are selected from a pool of applicants who have completed all PhD course work but a thesis and are enrolled in accredited, academic programs in clinical psychology.

BC Mental Health & Addiction Services accepts clinical placements in a wide variety of disciplines including: medicine, nursing, social work, pharmacy, physical therapy, recreation therapy, music therapy, art therapy, vocational rehabilitation and clinical nutrition.
