About the Library
The Library provides an extensive resource of mental health books, videos, journals, electronic information and research services. Our purpose is to provide mental health clinicians with information to help solve their clinical care problems. Just as importantly, we also provide information to patients and families to help them learn about illnesses and treatments. We believe that providing and using quality information is an essential component of clinical care and wellness.
Location and hours:
The library is located on the main floor of the Henry Esson Young Building (also known as the HEY Building) at Riverview Hospital, 2601 Lougheed Highway, Coquitlam. We're open 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, closed on statutory holidays.
Borrowing privileges are extended to:
- All clinicians, researchers and staff affiliated with BC Mental Health and Addiction Services and community mental health centres throughout BC;
- Riverview Hospital patients and their family members;
- Residents and students participating in a clinical rotation at Riverview Hospital for a minimum of 3 months.
Other students, and the general public, are welcome to use the library on-site to browse, read books or watch videos. Photocopying is self-service and is 10¢ per page.
Students can use the library on a self-directed basis. Please read Information for Students before visiting the library.
