Provincial Mental Health Metabolic Program

The Provincial Mental Health Metabolic Program provides specialized management for children and youth with both mental health and endocrinology/metabolism complications.

Examples of endocrinology/metabolism complications include: significant weight gain (especially around the waist), high blood pressure, abnormal lipid profile (elevated cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides and low HDL), elevated insulin and blood sugar levels.
