Information Resources
With a little help from our friends...
We want to help you learn as much as possible about mental health issues and what’s facing your relative or friend. Among the best sources of information are:
- BC Partners for Mental Health and Addictions - a network of seven leading provincial nonprofit agencies funded by the Provincial Health Services Authority. Check out their informative website at www.heretohelp.bc.ca.
- BCMHAS Library - located at Riverview Hospital, the library has a wide variety of books, journals and online resources about all aspects of mental health, including a large collection of consumer information resources. The library also has a special section of books and information pamphlets specifically for Riverview patients and their families.
- BC Children's Hospital Family Resource Library - for current information on child and adolescent mental health topics, check out their page on the BCCH website.
- Kelty Resource Centre - located at BC Children's Hospital, this provincial resource centre works to link children, youth and their families with appropriate resources in all areas of mental health and addictions, and also serves the resource needs of adults with an eating disorder.
